Paul's first letter to the early believers in Corinth shows us just how flawed and messy the body of Christ is. Wrought with division, sexual immorality, lawsuits, idolatry, disorder, and theological problems, this church represents almost everything that can go wrong within the Church. Paul strongly rebukes them and urges them to consider how these problems are rooted in arrogance and lack the love of Christ. He also addresses the pressing questions in the church, and to this day it remains a powerful book of instruction for individuals and churches alike.
