The book of Exodus addresses the fulfilling of God’s promise to Abraham to multiply his descendants and make them a people for himself. He delivers the Jewish nation from slavery in Egypt through the leadership of Moses, and establishes a covenant relationship with his people, giving them all of the various laws that governed Israel’s life and worship.
