While only one chapter in length, Jude is extremely weighty in content. He warns against false teachers who had crept into the church, perverting the grace of God and denying Jesus Christ. Jude uses Old Testament examples to condemn these wicked men, explaining that God will judge them just as he has judged rebellious and ungodly people and angels in the past. He urges the believers to continue in godliness and love, that they may “snatch them out of the fire” and show others mercy, with the goal of saving wicked men through the Gospel.
