Perhaps the most misunderstood book in the Bible, Revelation was written to seven actual churches. Containing commendation and criticism, Christ personally addresses these churches. Afterward, the book, rich with symbolism, addresses the judgment of the wicked, the second coming of Christ, the end of the rebellion of humanity, the final destination of Satan and demons, and the ushering in of “a new heaven and a new earth” (21:1), where God will reign eternally.
